Another Day of Depression

Disclaimer, none of this is based on research. Rather it is based on personal observations, beliefs, and experience throughout my personal life. Now, on to the topic at hand. I cannot help but believe that depression is running rampant within our school systems today. Last year's graduating class has already lost an alumni to suicide, and I find it hard to believe that no one notices the lingering oppression within schools. Everyone is having basically the same day on repeat. Same classes, same schedules, same people day in and day out. I have to ask the question why wouldn't people be depressed in these situations? I will admit, school is not the only culprit for our mental instability. Social media, home life, and other environmental factors are definitely a strong cause for depression too. Nonetheless, I insist on school systems because students go there five days a week for almost eight hours a day. It could possibly be the most contributing factor to depression in students today. Maybe students would enjoy life more if they had a better purpose to live for. The only reason education is luring is the opportunities for a better life, but for those blessed with a good life already, this seems somehow less appealing. As a religious person myself, I believe that implementing some moral, foundational beliefs back into the school system could possibly relieve our schools of some troubles. I suppose that this will be another post for nothing... unless, one person is willing to at least read my thoughts, then it will not be for nothing. Thank you in advance for whoever reads this. I pray it is not my mother snooping online for what I am doing writing this late at night.
